2nd of 5 Tips on Moving to 4.0

Patience and discipline are critical to improving your play at any level but particularly important at the 4.0 level and above.  Many times impulsivity will cause us to hit the wrong shot at the incorrect time. A common example is driving a ball that should be played soft and dropped.

As our game is developing we learn what shots to hit in a given situation. We practice these so that our play becomes more intuitive. This doesn’t mean that there is only one shot that can be hit but that our choice of shot isn’t driven by our emotions.
